This outfitter just acquired this excellent guide area in 2012. Prior to that, and for over 40 years, the prior outfitter had been providing top quality trophy hunts. In fact one of Butch’s buddies took the SCI #1 Mountain caribou here some years ago, and he also took the then #3 Mountain caribou back to back! You will be hunting in a unique corner of North America.
Some of our clients may know about the two B&C Stone sheep rams taken in 2012 by this outfitter in his new concession in the Yukon Territory. The two rams were both in the 43- inch class and measure in the low- to mid-170s. They are expected to make the record book. And if that was not enough, in 2013 they took another huge Mountain Caribou that green scored 442 points! Oh yeah, a moose of 224 too!
This area was formerly owned by a First Nations Indian Band and the area was hunted previously by horseback only. But this outfitters is using planes since 2013 with the idea of hunting previously untouched areas! If you want a Stone or Fannin Sheep, or a huge caribou or a giant moose – pay attention to this outfit!!
2014 proved to be a great year for this outfit.. their area is located in Canada’s Yukon, the largest hunting concession in western Canada with over 14 million acres of hunting paradise. The size and remoteness of their area allows clients to enjoy high success rates from game populations that have seldom or never seen people. Their area is estimated to have more Yukon moose than any other hunting area. Nearly 10,000 moose. Each year they also are expanding into new areas; to enable clients to enjoy unique hunting experiences.
In 2014 their largest bull moose taken was 69-1/2 inches wide and scored 243 B&C. HUGE! Their second largest bull was 64-1/2″ and scored 237. Both giant bulls! Several bulls were in the 220 class. In 2014 they had an excellent season for moose, with well over 100 lakes to hunt for moose.No pressure at all! We feel this area is the best choice for anyone looking to hunt for a giant Yukon bull. They have over 25 camps they rotate through, plus numerous spike camps to hunt from by using horses, or lake hunts by boat, ATVs, Argos, and jet boats.
They hunt four different caribou herds with an estimated 6,000 plus mountain caribou in their hunting concession. Caribou are found throughout the area, and they gather in high numbers on key plateaus, which is a hunter’s dream for chasing mountain caribou. Each season their clients take huge caribou that score over 400 B&C. They took several big bulls in 2014,, although sad to say the biggest bull got away. In one camp they saw two bulls that were over 430, which they did not harvest. In 2014 the biggest caribou was 414B&C. Clients took several big caribou with rifle and bows, and also took some really old caribou this season with heavy horn mass.
All hunters did extremely well this season, including bow hunters who harvested stone sheep, Yukon moose and mountain caribou. Their biggest bow kill moose this season was 63-inches, in the 220 class. Their sheep hunts went well this season too. They have six camps to hunt sheep from, and once again they voluntarily limit the number of sheep hunters and only hunted four of the six mountain ranges they had to chase sheep on. Rams all scored over 160 with an average age of 11.4 years. In fact, average sheep age over the last 3 years is 12!
The Yukon is home to a magical landscape, filled with wildlife and sights seldom seen. This giant concession offers many ways to explore and discover this wonderful place. The Yukon Territory is renowned for its wild and uncompromising land which is home to some of the most exciting big game in North America. These outfitters now hold the exclusive license to operate in the largest game – guiding area in the Yukon. It is located in south-central Yukon, northeast of Whitehorse and covers approximately 36,000 square kilometers or 21,600 square miles of hunting paradise. Large areas of the concession are remote, accessible only by plane or horseback, and a northern part of the area has never been commercially hunted. The terrain, which ranges from mountains, high plateaus, grassy slopes and forested valleys provides natural habitat for all species of big game. Numerous lakes and streams offer great fishing for the sportsman. They will be adding ARGO’s as well, so we expect some awesome trophies to come from this area. The area has good hunting for Stone and Fannin Sheep, Grizzly Bear, Mountain Caribou, the Alaska/Yukon Moose, Wolves and Wolverine. Lakes and streams offer abundant Arctic Grayling and Lake Trout.
Hunters are flown into one of their base camps by plane. The existing base camps are well located for easy access to big game and the best is just beginning! Camp facilities are simple and straight forward but comfortable. Typically you stay in framed tents, with ample room for two people. Some log and frame buildings are equipped for dining where applicable. There normally is a boat for fishing or transport. They maintain suitable communication equipment. Each hunter is assigned a licensed guide for the duration of the hunt. This ensures that you will receive top quality personalized service.
Depending on your wishes species wise, you may hunt from horseback, boat, backpack, or use all terrain vehicles and even snowmobiles or many in combination. Their guides are experienced professionals that will hunt hard for your success. In the field, your guide is also responsible for proper preparation of trophies. These outfitters, like any quality outfit, cannot guarantee a successful hunt; or a certain size of trophy or what the weather conditions will be in the Yukon, BUT they do guarantee to make every effort to ensure that your hunt is enjoyable and that you leave with fond memories of a challenging Yukon experience.
HUNT PACKAGES:
Spring Bear Hunt
The Spring Grizzly/Black Bear Combo Hunt is an 11 day hunt that will be done either on a river by boat or on land using horses, feet, and ATV’s where available. Hunt throughout the month of May. Hunters should expect all types of weather conditions.
Fall Bear Hunt
In the fall you can hunt, subject to quotas, one or more of these species: grizzly, sheep, caribou, moose, black bear, wolf or wolverine. The fall grizzly hunt is 11 days.
Sheep Hunts
These are 14 day hunts, scheduled tentatively for the first two weeks of August. Only 4 sheep hunts will be offered, although as they open new territory that may change. You will fly into base camp and then travel overland by horseback to a spike camp in prime sheep country.
Moose and/or Caribou Hunt
This is a 10 day hunt. Horseback, with the added option to hunt Moose by boat. This hunt is scheduled between mid August to the end of September. This area has some exceptional quality moose and caribou. The caribou are part of two herds which range in this outfitting area. Both herds are renowned for HUGE antler size and points.
Winter Hunts Outfitter offers only one winter hunt package—a Wolf, Wolverine and Ptarmigan Hunt. Winter is the best time for hunting wolves and this package offers the experienced hunter an exciting challenge. All winter hunts are done by snow machine and hunters must be equipped with quality winter gear. Winter in the Yukon is an awesome experience. Dates by agreement.

This outfitter has a no refund policy, however cancelled hunt deposits may be transferred less a 15% administration charge if approved by outfitter.
Trip insurance is recommended for unforeseen events.
They will assert a late payment surcharge of $500.00 no exceptions; funds due by contract date unless agreed otherwise by outfitter.
Primary animal harvest fees are payable in advance and deemed payable once that animal is presented to client and an opportunity of stocking range is offered. Primary animal harvest fees are only refunded if outfitter fails to show you a trophy animal to stalk. That is their guarantee to you that we will present you with a trophy class animal .

Hi Butch
Our hunts are sold on a base price for one animal (the primary animal – so basically we try from sept 5th to oct 5th to sell 18 of our 11 day moose hunts with 6 hunters per hunt). ALL may purchase grizzly ,black bear and wolf tags. They only pay for the animal once they do harvest them. Also, caribou is an option on those hunts — but we are limited to 17 tags per year and we need to confirm at the time of booking we can take them for caribou. The caribou season is open in the south end of our area till oct 31st and in the north part till sept 24th .
The Northern part is where we will be focusing most of our hunters for moose on the later hunts dates. The caribou success rate so far is 100% from the horse camps but out of 6 hunters we take at one time, only 2 or 3 can hunt by horse , so that limits the amount of moose/caribou combos,
However if a hunter wants a moose hunt by boat; then wants to try for a caribou — we can consider moving them at the hunters expense . We also have sheep hunters that will take caribou and early season moose and caribou or grizzly. So they all wiill draw from the 17 caribou quota.
In terms of difficulty, the horse hunts are not terribly hard — I would rate them at a 6 or 7 from a scale of 1 to 10 in terms of physical. The boat hunts are the least amount of work and I would rate them at being good for anyone .
