MULE DEER HUNT
We think that finding a reasonably priced quality mule deer hunt in the west is quickly become one of the hardest hunts to locate and the history of success here with this outfitter speaks for itself. This hunt takes place during the first two weeks of November, on a 2300-acre private ranch in southeastern Montana. The same four non-resident hunters have hunted this ranch exclusively for the past 15 years with a 100% success rate on getting their buck. It can’t get any better than that!

This rancher only allows four rifle mule deer hunters annually to hunt their private ranch. The hunts consist of a 3-day, 5-night hunt which includes your meals, lodging, game prep, and guiding. The owner helps clients apply for the license draw using his land owner sponsored applications for Unit 705. The application must be completed prior to April 1st and success on the draw has historically been 100% as well.

The hunt is mostly conducted using the spot and stalk method. The hunter that brings along a good spotting scope can really increase their chances of picking out that trophy muley in the fields, draws and rolling hills that make up the terrain. The mule deer size will average 140”- 160” with the larger ones topping out in 180s”.

ACCOMODATIONS & GETTING THERE
The lodging is provided in the basement of the ranch house and has multiple beds, a bathroom, and living room with cable and internet access. It is located about an hour north of the Gillette, WY airport and the outfitter will pick you up and drop you back off at the airport if needed. Hunters can also choose to drive directly to the ranch.
