BAITED BLACK BEAR, WHITETAIL DEER & WOLF -ALBERTA #41

BAITED BLACK BEAR, WHITETAIL DEER & WOLF -ALBERTA #41

This experienced outfitter offers baited black bear hunts in one of the most remote areas of Alberta, Canada. This area is known for Pope and Young bears and most hunters will have an opportunity at a bear of this caliber. There is also a 10% chance of taking a mature color phase bear. Alberta is a popular destination for bear hunting due to a very high population of big bears and the opportunity to take 2 bears.

All bait sites are set and ready to go upon your arrival and have comfortable tree stands or ground blinds that accommodate archery or rifle hunters at each location. They run trail cameras at each site to determine where the best quality bears are at the time of your hunt. Sites are accessed by truck, ATV or river boat.

Hunters can expect to see a high number of bears during the 5 day hunt with 100% opportunity on a first bear and an option to add a second bear. In 2024 30 of 32 hunters took at least one bear. Of the 2 unsuccessful hunters one wounded and the other was a long time repeat client looking for a giant.

Hunts operate from May 15th to June 15th to give hunters the best opportunity at shooting a mature boar during the rut. Hunts are packaged as a 2×1 though the option to have a one on one hunt is available upon inquiry. If you are a younger hunter or inexperienced they will try to have one of the guides sit with you to make sure only big boars are harvested.

Client success is the top priority along with maintaining a top quality camp and food. The camps will consist of comfortable heated wall tents with wood floors. Camp will have a cook tent along with a separate tent to dine in. Camp will be shared with 4-6 hunters and 2-3 people per tent. They will also provide an outdoor shower house with heated water.

Each day will start with a hot home cooked breakfast served mid-morning. Hunters can relax in camp or choose to go baiting and checking cameras with guides throughout the day. Sandwiches and snacks will be provided during the day. Hunters can expect to eat dinner before the evening hunt. Upon return there will be a hot fire with snacks or a light meal waiting for you. This time of year you can expect to be on stand until about 11 pm.

New for 2025 will be a remote camp that has not been hunted for over 10 years. They scouted the area this year and placed trail cameras and saw a large number of very big bears. This camp will be well stocked but not to the degree of the main camp. Accessing this camp will entail a 2-3 hour ATV ride so if you are adventurous and looking for something different this could be the hunt you are looking for.

There are some true giants here but to get a crack at one of these a hunter may have to pass up a 150” deer. For most whitetail hunters this would be a tough pass but that is what it takes to take large deer.

It is only valid for the person who signs it and for those firearms listed on the declaration. IF YOU HAVE A DUI OR A CRIMINAL RECORD, CALL US! YOU MAY BE DENIED ADMITTANCE. NO FORMS ARE REQUIRED TO BRING YOUR HUNTING BOW INTO CANADA!

WE AT HUNT NATION STRONGLY URGE ALL CLIENTS TO CONSIDER CAREFULLY THE WISDOM OF PURCHASING TRAVEL INSURANCE AND POSSIBLY EVACUATION INSURANCE. Many clients have had family members suffer catastrophic injuries and illness; have major work issues- the list is a long one. Some of these things can be protected against with the proper type of travel insurance, and especially so if you purchase the CFAR version, allowing cancellation for any reason!

Airline travel has become increasingly unreliable, with numerous delays, cancellations, extra days in airports and more. This can easily cost you the trip you have dreamed of. Likewise, a sudden illness, stroke, a bad fall, a critically ill family member, can all result in big medical bills to get you out of remote areas quickly. It is just plain smart to look at the cost of protecting yourself. Most outfitters no longer give refunds if you cancel, regardless of the reason! So you could be at risk.

We at Hunt Nation urge all clients to consider purchasing Trip Insurance. If interested please go to our link for assistance and information: https://redpointtravelprotection.com/partner/huntnation/
