Cathedral Peak Ranch is a mountain hunting and recreation subdivision that offers hunting on over 4,500 acres of common area in the West Elks mountain range south of Crawford in GMU 63. There are a total of 114 40-acre parcels and each landowner is offered the opportunity to hunt on all the other parcels, plus there is access to thousands of acres of National Forest and BLM lands that adjoin the ranch. Each landowner is allotted a 5-acre building site to build their own improvements. Access is behind a locked gate. Most of the parcels offer only seasonal access, which means YOU CAN’T LIVE THERE YEAR-ROUND without really working at it. However, this property is low enough at 7,680 feet that access may be possible during the winter months. There is no power available and no well is drilled on the property. Solar systems work well at this elevation. Hunting is generally very good in the area, which is known for excellent mule deer and elk hunting.
