This Captain and Guide were recommended to us by one our pro-staffers who has hunted and fished with him multiple times. After thoroughly checking out his operation, equipment and reviews from previous clients, we believe his adventures will be a welcomed addition to Hunt-Nations adventures.
He has the upmost respect for the land and wildlife that surrounds him. Preserving the wetlands and its inhabitants for our future hunters to come, means a great deal. Also showing the next generation the proper way to hunt is important to him. It allows them to enjoy what the life of hunting is all about. Not only is it about the joys of that day’s harvest, but of nature’s beauty at its best. He is dedicated to his customers by making sure to provide them with a great time. The evening before every hunt he goes out and scouts every one of his leases to ensure his customers are hunting the best spots with the most ducks. The fact that he was born and raised in these marshlands ensures that our clients are truly hunting with the best guide around.
DUCK HUNTING
This adventure offers incredible waterfowl hunting in the waterways of Southeast Louisiana which is part of Mississippi Flyway. The St. Bernard, Louisiana marshes are the wintering homes to thousands of waterfowl including pintails, teal (green and blue winged), gadwalls, widgeons, shovelers, redheads, mallards, buffleheads, scaup, and many others. The season runs from mid-November to late January (teal approx. Sept. 11-26).
Duck hunting is a way of life for Louisiana residents, and in the south there is nothing like living off our beautiful wetlands. There is an unspeakable feeling of joy watching the sun rising and having a flock of ducks committed to the decoys. Having a guide that has been born and raised in these marshlands with the ability to call any species of ducks is one of the many things they have to offer.
They do all hunts out of Gator Trax with pop up blinds using only the finest decoys on the market today. Ensuring customer satisfaction and an unforgettable experience is this guides objective. They are located in Shell Beach, Louisiana which is conveniently located only 35 minutes from downtown New Orleans.
Their hunting land is over 2,000 acres of privately leased marshes with a wide variety of species of both puddle and diving ducks.
